We will be celebrating the FEAST OF HARVEST on SUNDAY 8th OCTOBER. It is a thanksgiving to God for all his goodness and provision for us over the past year. We bring offerings to the Lord which we distribute to those in need around the city, through Foodbank and other charities. We also take gifts to those in the area who are ill or confined to their homes.

Student Hospitality

New Booklet
In 1971 Nigel Sands, Curate at All Saints,
produced a short booklet about the Church.
This has been out of print for many years.
This year as a preparation for Heritage Weekend
we have updated and reset the booklet and it is now available for purchase at the back of Church price £1.00.
VESTRY HOUR every Tuesday from 7pm in church
To book a Baptism or a Wedding or speak to a member of the clergy, please come to Vestry Hour which is held in the church every Tuesday, no appointment is necessary. Please use the wooden door to the left of the tower. You do not need to knock;
just come in, take a seat and you will be seen privately in turn.

BOOKWORMS
Our next meeting is on Monday October 2nd at 7.30pm at the Childwall Abbey pub.
The book we shall be giving our usually varied opinions about is
Miss Benson’s Beetle by Rachel Joyce.
This is the third book we have read by this author and it is the one I have enjoyed
the most in spite of it being totally bonkers!
We are always open to suggestions, so if you have read a book that you couldn’t put down and would like to recommend it to the group please tell Helen or Val. Everyone is welcome to join
us.
STORYTIME – Mondays– 10am – 11.30am
Storytime is a group, run by volunteers from All Saints’ church, for pre-school children. Join us in the church hall, on Mondays (During term time), from 10am. For those who are not aware of story time, it starts with a story and involves lots of fun, crafts, teddies and action songs. It costs £2 per family.
Pram Club – Thursdays – 1.30pm – 3pm
Run by a group of volunteers from All Saints for pre-school children.
A time of play, craft and refreshments finishing with songs and a story. Join us in the church hall every Thursday afternoon. It costs £2 per family. Opportunity for a Youth worker at All Saints Childwall

Operation Christmas Child
It’s that time of year again when we are asking for your generosity with Operation Christmas Child.
From Sunday 10th September there will be shoeboxes available at the back of church with leaflets detailing what to pack them with. Alternatively use your own shoebox and wrap it with Christmas paper. If you would rather donate items instead, please pick up
a leaflet detailing what items we need and a collection box will
be left at the back of church.
