We are now in a climate emergency. More people are going hungry, extreme weather events are more severe and communities are being displaced. People are being pushed back into poverty and the damage to creation is accelerating.
As we contemplate the scale of the crisis, it’s important we keep our eyes fixed on the God of justice, who loves creation and brings restoration and peace – and help our friends and family to do the same. Will you join us in a year of prayer about poverty and climate change?
‘Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.’
Philippians 4:6-7
In November 2020, world leaders will be gathering in Glasgow for the United Nations’ climate talks (called COP26). Join in with thousands of Christians around the world by making 2020 a year filled with passionate prayer for justice and for climate solutions. We all need to unite in prayer for these crucial issues – we’re partnering with CAFOD and Christian Aid to pray without ceasing – and we need your help!
