Many people who come to church plan their giving to God within their normal household budget, and at the moment there are a number of different ways this happens. Some people have standing orders with their bank, others give through the yellow envelopes, brown envelopes or one-off gifts. And you will know that gift-aided donations enable the church to reclaim tax on that money which adds 25% to the value of your gift. A sincere thank you to all of you who give faithfully however you choose to do so. We are truly blessed by your generosity.
I want to tell you about a Diocesan initiative, the Parish Giving Scheme, which our church has signed up to because it offers a number of benefits including making planned giving more user-friendly, maximizing our cash-flow and minimising our administration. If this scheme were to become the principal funding method for our Church, our giving could also be inflation-proofed, freeing us up to focus on other important priorities.
I would encourage you to look at and consider whether this is something that might work for you.

If you decide to give it a try – and there is no pressure to do so – the door is always open for you to change back if you don’t like it.
Many thanks
